Chordlaguku22 - Avenged Sevenfold (disingkat A7X) adalah band heavy metal Amerika Serikat dari Huntington Beach, California, dibentuk pada tahun 1999. Band ini saat ini formasi terdiri dari vokalis M. Shadows, gitaris ritme Zacky Vengeance, gitaris utama Synyster Gates, bassis Johnny Christ, dan drummer Brooks Wackerman. Band ini beberapa kali mengalami pergantian personil sejak menyelesaikan album pertama.
Avenged Sevenfold dikenal dengan irama suara rock dan citra dramatisnya di sampul album dan merchandise.[1] Band ini telah muncul dengan suara metalcore di album debut mereka Sounding the Seventh Trumpet dan sebagian besar melanjutkan suara ini melalui album kedua mereka Waking the Fallen. Namun, gaya band ini telah beberapa kali berevolusi dengan album ketiga dan rilisan label besar pertama mereka, City of Evil, menjadi gaya heavy metal yang lebih tradisional. Band ini terus mengeksplorasi suara baru dengan mengeluarkan yang berjudul Avenged Sevenfold dan menikmati kesuksesan sebelum The Rev sang drummer dan pendiri grup meninggal karena penyakit jantung karena dampak gabungan dari obat dan alkohol di tubuhnya pada tahun 2009. Ini akan menampilkan gaya heavy metal dan hard rock, yang ditulis sebagai penghormatan terhadap pengaruh mereka. Band ini merilis album studio kedelapan mereka, Life Is but a Dream..., sebuah rekaman yang sangat eksperimental, pada bulan Juni 2023.
Sampai saat ini, Avenged Sevenfold telah merilis tujuh album studio, satu album live/DVD, dua album kompilasi dan delapan belas single dan telah terjual lebih dari 8 juta album di seluruh dunia, dan rekaman mereka telah menerima banyak penghargaan sertifikasi, termasuk lima penghargaan album platinum dari institusi negara asalnya (RIAA). Mereka juga telah menciptakan empat lagu asli untuk seri Call of Duty: Black Ops, yang semuanya dikompilasi bersama dalam EP 2018 Black Reign.
